You’re now a Kansas Jayhawk! What are your impressions of KU and Lawrence, Kansas?

How many credits are you taking?
Ellie: 16 credit hours.
Ellie: My favorite class right now is my child development psych class! It’s very interesting!
Do you have a go-to, favorite order for coffee, tea, smoothies, etc.?
Ellie: I love iced green tea or any iced tea!
Have you discovered a favorite coffee spot, bagel/wrap spot on campus or in town?
Ellie: Not yet. There is a really cool market called McLain’s Market I want to try.
What’s your favorite study spot?
Ellie: I prefer to study in the library or the commons area of my dorm, but I don’t mind studying in my room either.
Netflix, music or podcasts?
Ellie: I love Netflix.
Instagram or Snapchat?
Any suggestions for finding groups, activities, recreation, and fun beyond classwork?
Ellie: Greek life! I am in Kappa Delta, and formal fall recruitment was so fun. I am so happy I joined. I am also a part of the pre-nursing club which starts up this week.
Any words of wisdom or advice to current WFB seniors on preparing for the next step, whatever or wherever that may be?
Ellie: Honestly, college is so much better than high school, and you just have to get through it. You have so much more freedom and free time and you actually enjoy what you are studying. There are also some really cool classes! Also, you don’t have to sit for eight hours straight and learn — which is really nice!
