I am honored and excited to be on the board of The 82 Project Foundation. Helping out classmates who may need a lift, current WFBHS students and the community where I was raised gives me a sense of purpose and contentment. I have had a wonderful time renewing old friendships and making new ones over the past couple years. I look forward to continuing this journey with other members of our class.
Sometime during fourth grade, in Mrs. Abrahamson’s class, I realized that I wanted to teach. After graduation, I attended UW-Madison and then UW-Milwaukee and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. I have been teaching at Browning School, a north side Milwaukee Public Elementary School, for twenty-eight amazing years.
Teaching is a challenging and rewarding profession that I love today as much as I did when I started. I like to keep busy, so
I’ve become an Independent Founding Boutique Partner in Style Dots, a direct sales jewelry business. I am also a volunteer for L.E.A.R.N., a Labrador rescue in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We rescue, foster, and find adoptive homes for labs of all ages.
I have four children, Gabbie 24, Tiffany 12, Jakey 11, and Dereon 6.
